Commodity Manager Semiconductors (m/w/d)

In this role, you will be responsible for shaping the future of mobility by driving best in class competitiveness of our Battery, Components, Interior and Distribution systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the component portfolio and strategic purchasing activities related to active and discrete Semiconductors

• Manage the commodity strategy and ensure appropriate measures are identified and implemented to drive the performance to top quartile levels applying specific commodity levers

• Prepare and lead price and contract negotiations across the supplier panel and ensure compliance with all strategic objectives

• Lead innovation scouting for new technological solutions and innovative new players to continuously challenge the status quo

• Provide guidance to commodity buying team and support development of buying team

• Lead improvement initiatives in the acquisition and project development stages by defining the best commercial and most technically advanced supplier solutions

• Identify cost reduction measures within the portfolio and implement together with a cross-functional team

Qualification Profile

• Academic degree in Business or Engineering or a comparable qualification

• Several years of experience in purchasing, preferably in the automotive industry

• Deep understanding of the semiconductor industry, its technologies and associated best practices

• Existing network with key decision makers on supplier level

• Professional management experience preferable

• Strategic mindset, very good negotiation skills and cost awareness

• Business fluent in English and ideally German

• Willingness for occasional business trips
