Objective of Job:
This position is responsible for the administration of warranty claims with the main objective to effectively eliminate defects and prevent other possible similar occurrences. This includes products from the Electrical Systems, Interior Systems and Component Systems Segments.

Principle Activities:
Contact person, internally and externally/ customer representative, as it pertains to warranty with regards to the definition of corrective and preventive actions, in coordination with the respective plant quality, quality customer interface and project development functions.

Collects customer requirements and creates, verifies and updates internal documents and procedures accordingly and as needed.

Support in determining and optimizing internal standards and processes within his/her own area of expertise at multiple production sites

Develop, plan and conduct complex tests to analyze defects and evaluate its plausibility with the customer

Assure checking the interactions of several component groups for functional reliability, conduct standard test and load test on warranty return parts

Supports in creation of internal reports/ publications about warranty data and information. Reporting to all involved parties and escalation along disciplinary line if necessary

Actively participates in project development and provides input to the development team on warranty issues that have been detected in series on other carlines.

Optimize and coordinate complex tests/inspections for multiple component groups/ carlines

Assure availability of required test equipment and fixtures, maintain field failure analysis workplace

Ensures warranty claims are processed and the information is documented in a timely manner in QSYS and the respective customer portal. Opens 8D in QSYS and assigns team; enters 24 hrs response in the customer portal; checks for effectiveness and closes the 8D; uploads the information into the respective customer portal.

Ensures proper storage and disposal of warranty return parts according to customer and internal requirements.

Steer warranty related communications and assure compliance with quality standards (of the company and of the customer) in cooperation with all involved divisions (e.g. Production, etc.); implement corrective actions for any deviations.

Determines, agrees and follows up on appropriate goals and actions with the supervisor

Performs all other duties as directed by the direct supervisor


Job and Work Requirements:
A minimum of Bachelor Science degree or equivalent work experience

Minimum two years of quality or engineering in a high volume automotive environment interiors production.

Minimum 2 years of experience in warranty processes with relevant customers

Fluent German Speaking;
