Objetive of the position

Manage several small or one large related organizational unit(s) with generally varied functions


Principal activities

  • Support the strategic planning of the unit/division by breaking down or developing the strategic planning for the department within a short or medium-range time frame
  • Plan and administer the budget in his/her area of responsibility, in cooperation with the supervisor, and make sure there is compliance with it
  • Develop and implement personnel planning in his/her area of responsibility, in cooperation with the supervisor; also make sure qualified personnel are hired
  • Provide technical and disciplinary leadership to associates that report to him/her; make personnel decisions in cooperation with the HR department and the supervisor
  • Develop department-specific goals, break down and prioritize the department goals, follow up on goals and evaluate goal achievement
  • Qualify and assure extended work benches in high / low cost
  • Develop, contribute in and assure removal / setup of old / new plants within the production network, in the area of responsibility
  • Assure department-/ unit-related analysis of comprehensive problems (e.g. with customer / plant supply, IT system logistics, etc.), as well as develop measures / proposals for solution for sustainable elimination / avoidance
  • Contribute, implement and monitor compliance with globally valid department-/ unit-related logistics / system standards, in coordination with technical supervisor
  • Assure department-/ unit-related know-how transfer between local logistics managers and central specialised departments
  • Coordinate, implement and assure logistics services, in collaboration with supervisors
  • Manage and assure comprehensive / complex logistics projects in the area of responsibility (e.g. projects related to series, location, expiry, system logistics, etc.)
  • In addition for Management Project Managers
  • Assure resource planning as well as control, coordinate and monitor timely and cost-effective implementation of technical projects in the supply chain
  • Assure professional support / leadership of the project managers SC in the implementation of assigned projects, and assure training
  • Conduct all required organizational and process measures to optimize SC
  • Develop and implement new and innovative SC / logistics solutions
  • Assure the quality of concepts and costs for projects SC, and release for forwarding to acquisition phase
  • Assure quality of project tasks of the subordinated project leaders SC, in the project phase



Professional career:

  • Balchelor’s Degree


  • English, Advanced


  • Relevant experience (3-5 years):
    Numerical Reasoning Skills
  • Team-Oriented, Socially Skilled
  • Automotive Experience
