Tasks:
- Develop technical concepts for components/modules and make sure they are feasible
- Draw up / have drawn up and evaluate design solutions, and coordinate them with internal/external development partners
- Check development progress and coordinate priorities; define interfaces
- Technical and scheduled steering of assigned resources (e.g. of a construction team, etc.) Check and provide details for schedules
- Conduct development tasks (e.g. build parts/modules with a variety of functions and connections, etc.), taking requirements into account (e.g. functional, weight & installation viewpoints, economic aspects, etc.)
- Control drawings and data sets; assure creation of documentation
Profile:
- Higher level mechanical engineering qualification or equivalent industry experience
- Fully conversant with design and process techniques, practices and procedures
- Knowledge of manufacturing and assembly processes
- Knowledge of engineering theory and its application
- Experienced user of drawing Geometrical Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T)
- Proven capability in Catia V5 and/or Siemens NX CAD modelling software at advanced user level
- Knowledge and practical experience of conventional engineering analysis would be an advantage.
