Objective

Provide comprehensive HR Support for departments while maintaining an issue-free and union-free environment

 

Principle Activities

 

  • Enforce HR policies and procedures
  • Ensure compliance with all State and Federal Employment Laws
  • Assist in developing and facilitating new employee orientation sessions
  • Manage employee relations strategies relative to employee movement
  • Evaluate situations objectively to provide HR counsel and guidance to all levels of employees including resolving complaints, questions, etc., within the limits of established policy or help determine most equitable solution when no policy is appropriate
  • Participate in continuously improving employee relations approaches
  • Manage to Key Performance Indicators as outlined for position
  • Act as liaison to assigned labor contract suppliers and others as required
  • Represent Company on legal matters pertaining to specific job function
  • Conduct exit interviews
  • Process unemployment claims and represent Company at hearings if needed
  • Provide other Human Resource based services as needed, such as answering benefits, payroll & timekeeping questions
  • Cooperate in projects and coordinate HR projects at the direction of the HR Manager
  • Coordinate and plan company sponsored employee recognition and appreciation events
  • Demonstrate personal flexibility in approach and ideas, responds positively and supports changes in procedures, process, technology, responsibility, and assignments
  • Organizes and prioritizes work assignments to complete assignments/tasks on time, with quality, and has the ability to anticipate problem areas in advance            
  • Applies creative approaches and ideas to solve problems maximizing effective use of appropriate resources
  • Administers necessary disciplinary action according to Company policies and procedures
  • Demonstrates a commitment to maintain a safe, clean and orderly work area. Follows safety regulations and actively contributes to work safety.
  • Maintains cooperative and productive working relationships and communications with all employees, participating effectively as a team facilitator

 

Job Requirements

 Bachelors Degree or equivalent work experience

 3-5 years of General Human Resources Experience

 3-5 years of Employee Relations Experience
